Rules & How NEPL Works

What this is

The New Eridu Proxy League is a Deadly Assault score leaderboard for Demons of Time, staff-reviewed and posted publicly. Submit a run, see where you land, or just check out what everyone else is doing. It's currently scoped to Deadly Assault only (not Shiyu Defense), and it's still beta - beta means it's still getting worked on, not that it might disappear. This is staying.

Challenges

Staff hand-pick a real, commonly-run team - a boss/room, exactly 3 agents, sometimes a cost cap, and sometimes a required W-Engine for a slot - and open it as a challenge with a deadline. One challenge normally goes up per Deadly Assault rotation. Some bosses also get a Starter lane: a separate team with a cost cap of 0 (A-rank and free agents and W-Engines only), so smaller rosters can take part. Starter runs are ranked on their own board.

Mindscape is recorded on your submission but never a requirement - MS0 through MS6 all compete on the same leaderboard, same as a real account.

Who can take part

Any logged-in Discord account can view, submit to, and report on challenges - you don't have to be a member of the Demons of Time server to take part. Logging in only shares your username, avatar, and server list with us, nothing else.

Submitting a run

Your proof video needs to show:

1. Your UID visible somewhere in the video.
2. Score and build shown back to back, with no cuts or splicing between them.
3. Each agent's Mindscape and W-Engine refinement, clearly visible on the build screen.

Time spent (optional) is the in-game timer: the mode's time limit minus the time remaining - a 180s mode with 59s left is 121. Your W-Engine and Disc Drive picks have to be real items, and have to match anything the challenge specifically requires; if the challenge has a cost cap, your build has to fit under it.

Fake or misleading submissions can get you banned from submitting here.

Review & limits

Submissions are reviewed by staff before they appear on the leaderboard - this is still beta, so don't panic if yours doesn't show up right away. You can have up to 3 submissions waiting on review per challenge at a time; wait for staff to review them before sending more.

Submitting the exact same proof video someone else already used on the same challenge gets flagged for staff to look at - it isn't blocked automatically, since a clip can genuinely belong to more than one person (a shared co-op run, for instance).

Reporting a run

Any approved run on the leaderboard can be reported straight from its card, with a short reason - for example, the build doesn't match the proof, or the score looks impossible. A reported run stays on the leaderboard until staff reject or dismiss the report; reporting doesn't pull it down by itself.
